  15. J.Q.L. WEIGHTS & MEASURES for Windows  (14.99 Sterling or 30.00 US Dollars)*

  17. This is the first program J.Q.L. released for Windows* on 1st June 1993. The
  18. program converts weights & measures from one type to another automatically and
  19. is simplicity itself to use.
  20.  
  21. Weights & Measures 1.1 was reviewed by PC Plus, issue 84, September 1993, who
  22. said of Weights & Measures "..you'll find W&M invaluable", and "..W&M screen
  23. display shows all the units for each mode simultaneously, making it extremely
  24. easy to switch between the individual measurement systems." and "..extremely
  25. well crafted and quite useful".  PC Plus gave Weights & Measures a 4 out of 5
  26. value rating and had nothing against the program.

  28. Transend, one of the major UK Shareware vendors said of Weights & Measures 1.1
  29. "..very useful" and "..it is certainly very easy to use".

  31. High praise indeed for a first program for Windows.

  33. Now in version 2, it is even easier to use, has a completely context sensitive
  34. Help, more conversions,  is even more accurate than before using, where
  35. possible, conversion factors correct to a minimum seven decimal points!, has
  36. 3D and colour which is configurable by the user, the main control is a Tool
  37. Bar which can be placed anywhere on your screen, and uses very little of your
  38. Systems resources - only 10% when every single window is displayed.

  124. Pools Plan, works with the new "Jackpot" system, the ordinary pools and with
  125. the Australian pools.  It requires NO tedious entering of the results (as some
  126. pools systems require), and is simplicity itself to use.  Pools Plan predicts
  127. Score Draws, Jackpot Draws, No Score Draws, Away Wins and Home Wins
  128. simultaneously and gives both rankings and probability ratings of a particular
  129. result.  The percentages and rankings can be printed out or copied to the
  130. Windows Clipboard.

  132. The Help file is context sensitive and there is a "Hint Line" to help you at
  133. the bottom of the window.  The help file also has information on completing
  134. your coupon and how to use the information provided by the program.

  138. J.Q.L. HORSE FORM LITE for WINDOWS      (14.99 Sterling or 30.00 US Dollars)*

  140. This is a small Horse Racing Predition program for Windows 3.1 and better.
  141.      
  142. The first time this program was used on a race it picked three out of the
  143. first four horses home. Not bad for a first test so I included that race in
  144. the Help file as an example.
  145.  
  146. Horse Form Lite uses the information published in most daily newspapers to
  147. make its predictions, so there is no need to buy a specialist racing paper to
  148. use it, unless of course you want to.
  149.  
  150. There is no tedious entering of the results of each race, and Horse Form Lite
  151. automatically keeps a record of the Horses' names you have entered - up to a
  152. maximum of 32676. Finding a Horse once it has been entered into the program is
  153. simplicity itself, just enter the first two or three letters of the Horse's
  154. name and it will usually be displayed on the screen for you to select.

  156. Horse Form Lite, frequently picks the winners and sometimes picks the
  157. long-odds winners which everyone has overlooked, it picks the horse most
  158. likely to win, which isn't always the favourite!

  160. It has a context sensitive Help File and hints for the information it requires
  161. which makes it very easy to use. It also has user configurable 3D and Colour,
  162. and will give you a print out of the predictions if so required.

  187. The Help Files are not only useful as a reference files, they can be used as
  188. Tutorials, Reports, Guides, Company Information, Sales Manual, Product Manual
  189. and many more uses where structured information is used or needs to be
  190. distributed. The beauty of the Windows Help File is it doesn't require a host
  191. program, all Windows Operating Systems have it built in. The maximum amount of
  192. space is available on your distribution media for the Help File and anyone
  193. with Windows can read it.
